The ATHN Data Summit has always provided a unique opportunity for the blood disorders community to come together. Each year we welcome professionals from all ATHN-affiliated centers and our collaborating partners to share ideas, celebrate accomplishments, and advance knowledge.
This year we hosted our first virtual Data Summit in response to the COVID-19 pandemic travel restrictions. With over 700 registrants, the online event had record-breaking attendance! We heard from leading researchers in hemophilia, von Willebrand disease, rare coagulation disorders, gene therapy, and thrombosis. We shared new data quality initiatives, data quality integrations, and techniques for collecting and managing data. We learned about some new areas of research at ATHN including ATHN’s first interventional clinical trial (ATHN 16), new thrombosis studies, and the ongoing launch of ATHN Transcends. We got updates from our community and government partners. And, in the virtual format, we came together as a community dedicated to improving the lives of people affected by blood disorders.
